Joblink are proud to be supporting the recruitment of a Student Assistant to support the Arla Food's Commercial Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised student looking to gain commercial experience within a leading global food business while developing the skills needed for a future career in sales, account management, marketing, or the wider agricultural sector.

Arla is a farmer-owned cooperative at the heart of British dairy farming, and this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting customer-facing commercial teams while working alongside experienced business and account managers.

About the Team

The Sales Team acts as the face of Arla to its customers, working closely with major retailers and partners on a daily basis. The team is responsible for building strong customer relationships, driving commercial growth, supporting product performance, and ensuring value is returned to the farmers who own the cooperative.

Working within a collaborative and environment, you'll have the opportunity to engage with colleagues across all levels of the business, including senior leaders, while gaining exposure to a variety of commercial functions.

About the Role

This role sits within the Commercial Sales function and provides vital support across a range of commercial activities, projects, events, and administrative processes. You will work with multiple stakeholders and departments, helping to coordinate activity, manage logistics, and ensure key projects are delivered efficiently.

This is a development-focused opportunity designed specifically for individuals at the beginning of their careers. Training and support will be provided, allowing you to build confidence, develop professional skills, and gain valuable business experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the organisation and coordination of agricultural shows, exhibitions, customer events, and trade shows.
  • Assisting with event management activities and logistics planning.
  • Coordinating product samples, site bookings, deliveries, and external suppliers.
  • Supporting the setup and administration of new product line launches.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to Business Managers and Account Managers.
  • Assisting with team meetings, commercial projects, and sales initiatives.
  • Supporting shopper marketing campaigns and customer activations.
  • Working closely with colleagues from different departments to coordinate activities and projects.
  • Maintaining records, reports, and documentation.
  • Producing and updating presentations, spreadsheets, and other business materials using Microsoft Office.

A full UK driving licence would be advantageous, as occasional travel may be required for events and customer visits.
