Looking for a Marketing Manager role that works around you?

We're working with an established organisation that is looking for a Part Time Marketing Manager to take ownership of its marketing and communications activity.

This is a genuinely flexible opportunity. While the initial requirement is around 22-30 hours per week, our client is open to discussing different hours and working arrangements for the right person.

So, whether you're looking to balance work around family commitments, another responsibility, a portfolio career or simply want a better work life balance, this could offer the flexibility you've been looking for without compromising on the level of responsibility or variety in the role.

You'll have real ownership of the marketing function, working closely with senior colleagues to shape strategy and deliver activity across digital marketing, content, social media, campaigns, PR, brand, website, advertising and events. You'll also provide direction to a Marketing Executive and work with external agencies and creative partners.

Most importantly, our client is looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and wants to use their marketing skills to create something genuinely positive for people.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Taking ownership of the overall marketing strategy and activity
  • Developing and delivering engaging campaigns across digital and offline channels
  • Creating and overseeing content across social media, email, website and other communications
  • Developing the organisation's brand presence and ensuring consistency across all activity
  • Leading social media planning and using performance data to improve engagement
  • Overseeing website content, SEO and digital performance
  • Supporting digital advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Developing PR and communications activity
  • Planning marketing activity around events and key organisational initiatives
  • Monitoring campaign performance and using insight to shape future activity
  • Managing the marketing budget and ensuring activity provides value
  • Working with external agencies, designers and creative partners
  • Providing guidance and support to the Marketing Executive
  • Identifying new opportunities, ideas and improvements across the marketing function

What are we looking for?
You'll ideally already have experience at Marketing Manager, Marketing & Communications Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Lead level.

We're looking for someone who can think strategically but isn't afraid to get stuck in. You'll be comfortable taking ownership, developing ideas and turning them into effective marketing activity.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a broad marketing role
  • Experience developing and delivering marketing campaigns
  • Strong digital marketing, content and social media experience
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • A good understanding of website, SEO, email and marketing analytics
  • Experience using data to measure performance and improve results
  • Strong organisation and project management skills
  • Experience working with agencies, freelancers or external suppliers
  • Ideally, experience of supporting or managing a junior marketing colleague
  • A creative approach with excellent attention to detail
  • The confidence to contribute ideas and influence others
  • A proactive, positive approach and genuine enthusiasm for the organisation's purpose

What's on offer?

  • £25 - £35 per hour
  • Approximately 22-30 hours per week
  • Flexible hours - our client is willing to work around the successful candidate
  • Other hours and working patterns may be considered for the right person
  • Genuine ownership of the marketing function
  • A varied role covering digital, content, campaigns, PR, brand, website and events
  • The opportunity to shape and develop the organisation's marketing approach
  • Responsibility for supporting a Marketing Executive
  • A collaborative environment where ideas and creativity are encouraged
  • The opportunity to use your marketing expertise for something that genuinely makes a positive difference to people

Want senior level responsibility without the full time hours?

Our client is genuinely open minded about hours and working arrangements, so if you have the right experience and passion but need something outside the traditional full time model, we'd love to hear from you.
