Joblink is recruiting a team of Accommodation Welcome Ambassadors to create a warm, smooth, and memorable move-in experience for incoming students across University of Leeds Halls of Residence. As an internal ambassador, your insider knowledge of halls life will be essential in making this year’s welcome week a fantastic success!
As an Accommodation Welcome Ambassador, you will be the main point of contact at student accommodation sites during peak arrivals. Your duties will include:
Welcoming Students & Families: Acting as an Intake Helper—greeting new residents and helping them check in for the very first time.
Wayfinding & Signposting: Helping students navigate their halls, campus, and local amenities.
Event & Operational Support: Assisting with key pickup, directional marshalling, and maintaining a positive, helpful presence around residence sites.
Troubleshooting: Answering student/parent queries with empathy, enthusiasm, and practical advice.
Because this role focuses specifically on our accommodation sites, we are looking for candidates with direct halls experience!
Halls Experience: You must have lived in, or have extensive experience working in, University of Leeds Halls of Residence.
Enthusiasm & Familiarity: Passionate about student life in Leeds and fully familiar with the University campus and accommodation.
Reliability: Proactive, energetic, adaptable, and dependable.
Compliance & Training:
Willingness to complete a Basic DBS Check (cost fully covered by UoL).
Completion of online ‘Fire Safety’ and ‘Manual Handling’ modules via Minerva prior to start.
Attendance at on-arrival training.
Desirable: Preference will be given to applicants who have previously worked as Summer Residence Assistants or Welcome Ambassadors!

Shift Times: Shifts are generally scheduled across 5 days over 7, between 08:00 and 20:00.
Flexibility: Please note that hours required overall may fluctuate slightly based on the arrival schedules and operational needs of the University.
