Joblink are pleased to be increasing their pool of Residence Assistants to support work across several University of Leeds student accommodation.
This role will run for 4 weeks up until welcome.
The role plays an important part in the turnaround and preparation of the University residencies for use by conference delegates, summer school attendees and of course preparing for the next intake of students in Sept 2026.
What does the role involve?
As a Residence Assistant you will be based in one, or several of the University Residence sites, working in a team, checking & preparing the accommodation for multiple use.
Students return year after year in the role, you will make great friends, learn new skills and enjoying being a key part of the residential services team.
You will need:

also have plenty of initiative and sometimes work with minimal supervision
*Please note this role require you to complete a basic DBS check (reimbursed by employer)
Key duties:
Support checkout process including rubbish removal and condition check
Carry out water hygiene Health & Safety procedures (full training provided)
Support Pre-let process to include bed-making and restocking
Basic cleaning (training will be provided)
Check condition of rooms and kitchen reporting missing equipment, breakages etc
Undertake general office admin duties where required
Provide a friendly, warm welcome to new residents and guest throughout the summer
Assist with guest check-ins and front house reception duties
Basic maintenance
Some basic ground maintenance including litter picking
Other duties may be required depending on business demands

We are recruiting for w/c 24th August up until welcome week, or w/c 21st September.
Please be aware if you are currently studying a master's you will only be able to commit to part-time work until your dissertation is handed in.
Location: On and off campus at various University of Leeds accommodation
Full time - up to 35 hours per week depending on site needs - 5 days over 7 (weekends included and evenings)
Part time - up to 20 hours a week depending on site needs
Start date: Compulsory in person training on 1st June
End date: End Sept/Early October 2026*
*If you cannot commit to work until End Sept/Early October we unfortunately cannot consider your application.
Pay
£13.45/hr (£14.63/hr including holiday pay)
