Football Data Collector (Casual)

Role Description

We need committed and enthusiastic people to collect data for various matches, mainly Top European Leagues including UK football. Data collection is done from our Leeds Office (near Elland Road Stadium) to provide a new dataset for professional football.

We are looking for casual workers who can be trained over the summer, before moving into Live Collection from August. We anticipate longer-term contracts, and some full-time roles will become available in the future.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn detailed instructions and definitions regarding football data collection

  • Accurately and quickly collect extensive data points while watching a football match using our bespoke software and unique metrics

Role Requirements

  • Candidates will be required to attend a minimum of 2 full-day training sessions at our Leeds office in early/mid July 2026, with successful candidates training frequently in the next few months.

  • Able to complete a minimum of 50 hours of training across July and August, for live data collection starting in August and September onwards

  • Good availability and willingness to work on Weekends and Evenings

 

Essential

  • Have excellent knowledge of football

  • Must be able to easily commute to our Leeds office

  • Ability to combine quick reactions with attention to detail (like in most ESports)

  • Receptive to feedback - to make our football data as precise as possible

  • Good computer skills, specifically using a keyboard and mouse 

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Desirable

  • Previous experience with similar roles, ideally in live sport collection
