Part-time | £17–£18 per hour | Pudsey, Leeds (LS28)
This is a rare chance to work as a Teaching Assistant on a structured, specialist home education programme for a 19-year-old autistic young person in Leeds — while simultaneously contributing to the development of a real-world assistive technology product.
You will plan and deliver structured learning sessions, implement ABA and Verbal Behaviour (VB) teaching methods, and support the young person’s educational and personal development goals.
Full professional training across all relevant therapeutic and educational approaches will be provided. No prior experience is required — the right attitude and a genuine commitment to making a difference is what matters most.
Graduates, postgraduates, and final-year students from Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, Social Care, or related disciplines are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Plan and deliver structured one-to-one teaching sessions following an ABA and Verbal Behaviour (VB) curriculum
• Support the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, and daily living skills
• Implement Speech & Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy targets within teaching sessions
• Facilitate sensory integration activities and community-based learning (swimming, cycling, climbing, gym, trampolining)
• Maintain detailed session records and progress notes
• Contribute educational observations to the software development team to inform product design
• Attend weekly supervision and training sessions with specialist professionals
VPN Software Limited will fund and arrange full training from professionals of Skybound Therapies Limited, including:
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – principles and classroom application
• Verbal Behaviour (VB) Therapy
• Speech & Language Therapy techniques
• Occupational Therapy support within an educational setting
• Sensory Integration approaches
You will receive weekly feedback and coaching from qualified specialists throughout your time in the role.

Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling; weekend sessions available
Pay: £17.00 – £18.00 per hour
