JOB TITLE: Certificates and Registration Assistant
RESPONSIBLE TO: Student Documents Assistant Managers
AVAILABILITY: 1 July to 31 July. The role is fully based on campus and is likely to be full-time (Mondays to Fridays). However, the hours offered may be variable depending on the volume of work and how much we get through each day, there may be some days where you are asked to finish earlier.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for staff to work with the Student Documents Team to support the production and distribution of degree certificates and small registration events taking place in July.
A summary of the duties is provided below. There are a few roles available, and you would be assigned specific duties from the lists as required, which will vary throughout the month of July depending on the events taking place.
Certificates Production Line Tasks
Checking documents and information systems to ensure the data held is accurate (this includes names, awards and degree programmes)
Organising and alphabetising the documents into graduation ceremony order
Supporting the postage process by verifying international addresses and assisting with the packaging and posting of documents for students not in attendance
Providing general assistance and administrative support to the Student Documents Team
Other relevant tasks that may come up to support the certificates production line.
Registration Event Tasks
Producing student cards
Checking the student’s identity against official documents
Checking Visa entry and immigration status
Using multiple applications to check and record student information, including Microsoft SharePoint and Banner (student record system)
Queue management and signposting
Other duties
Give general support and information and refer students to other sources of assistance
Provide general assistance and administrative support to the Student Documents Team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
