This store will be on the historic York City walls on Monk Bar and will form part of the Yorkshire Soap Company's established business, joining the Society of Alchemist's and the Imaginarium as part of the retail estate.
Our York based, but Yorkshire wide business has been growing for over 20 years, and we don't want to stop yet. This shop will be gift orientated along with some of our famous hand made products, and will lend itself well to tourists and locals alike, whilst they visit our amazing city.

Our newest shop will be opening in May, and we are looking for a confident, retail focussed store Supervisor to join our amazing and magical team, delivering exceptional service and retail standards. This role will cross over between the Monk Bar store and the Society of Alchemists located on the Shambles.
The contract is 24 hours per week (over 7 trading days), with the opportunity to work additional hours throughout the busy trading calendar.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced retail supervisor or senior sales assistant wanting to take the next step onto their future store management career. We want someone who is customer service focused, passionate and supportive of their fellow team members. Commercially aware and hungry to succeed. Confidence in communicating with customers and team members is essential.
Main Duties:
· Supervising shop operations, ensuring efficient functioning of the shop, managing the sales floor in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager and providing maximum profitability.
· Human resources including basic standards training, assigning responsibilities and supervising performance.
· Delivering exceptional customer service, setting criteria for team, establishing security and safety measures and compliance.
. Setting up for trade at the beginning of the day, receiving and merchandising deliveries, ensuring the store is clean and ready for trade, cashing up responsibilities.
