Conference Assistant

Location: Various locations across University of Leeds campus

Job Type: Part-time and flexible

 

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES

Joblink are thrilled to be working with the University of Leeds Conference and Events Department. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as Conference Assistants, providing both customer service and operational support to the Conferences and Events team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and breakdown of events, including set-up of gazebos, tables and other temporary structures
  • Providing excellent, friendly customer service
  • Assisting with moving stock
  • Marshalling and signposting attendees
  • Working on registration desks
  • Acting as a point of information for attendee queries
  • Basic technical support - A/V setup and troubleshooting

 

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and able to represent the University of Leeds to high standards
  • Ability to follow directions and work closely in a team environment
  • Ability to work to own initiative, problem solving or escalating effectively 
  • Proactive approach to responsibilities
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environments
  • Willingness to undertake tasks involving manual handling
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 applications (Word and Powerpoint)
