Internship Outline

Joblink has worked in partnership with the NHS on this project for many years introducing students to their internship programme.

We are thrilled that many students either secure permanent graduate roles with this department, the wider NHS or similar following the excellent skills and knowledge gained from working and being supported through the internship.

You will have the opportunity to work within a development team that are delivering this EHR within the framework of an annual roadmap.  You will gain practical hands on experience where your work will be promoted to everyday use by over 23k users of the platform delivering care to patients from across Leeds and Yorkshire region.

Main tasks:

Reporting to a Senior Project Analyst your role will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Analysts with the development and delivery of PPM+ implementation and training activities across LTHT.

  • Working closely with clinical and technical teams to ensure all implementation-related issues are effectively addressed using proactive and best-practice approaches.

  • Creating and developing engaging training and communication materials — including videos, animations, Canva visuals, and interactive content — to support system rollouts and updates.

  • Delivering on-site training, floor walking, and providing hands-on support to ward staff during implementation (please note: due to ward requirements, false nails and clothing below the elbow are not permitted).

  • Attending online and onsite team meetings, contributing to product reviews, and assisting in developing implementation solutions.

  • Showing initiative by actively reviewing and tracking tasks on Jira rather than waiting for work to be assigned.

  • Collaborating with team members to enhance communication materials and training packages that support PPM+ developments.

  • Working with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) development team and Business Analysts to review new functionality and provide constructive feedback.

  • Updating project planning and reporting tools, attending team and project meetings, and ensuring project progress is accurately tracked and reported.

The interns will be fully supported by the main team members and will be given the opportunity to learn more about the work we do and the NHS as a whole. We are a close team and view everyone as part of the team — not just as an intern.

You will gain and understanding of:

  • Providing general project implementation support for the EHR Delivery programme team and assist on the development and delivery of a range of training courses for our customers’ needs.
  • Assisting in the delivery of work packages for project managers both within EHR Delivery and the wider DIT where there is a PPM+ element.
  • Providing support to ensure that all project deliverables and activities are achieved to time and to budget.
  • Working under the direction of the project team to ensure project plans are implemented effectively and operational issues are identified and resolved.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to interpret technical information for non technical stakeholder
  • Reporting and analysis skills
  • Familiarity with presentation software
  • Experience in video editing, animation, and creating interactive training materials

Degrees Suitable for:

  • MBA, Management, Corporate Comms, Marketing with a Tech Background

Duration of the role

  • Until End of March 2026, with a possibility of a extension

Location:

  • Hybrid, upto  4 days a week, with 2 days mandatory on-site ( Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Hours:

  • We are looking for someone who can work upto  30 hours in this role
    (Current Masters Students are welcome to apply as long as you can commit to work Tuesday and Thursdays on-site)

Pay

  • £12.21/hr
