Stump Cross Caverns

Stump Cross Caverns is a family-owned visitor attraction set on Greenhow Hill in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Discovered in 1860, our underground cave system spans hundreds of millions of years of geological history.

Above ground, we're so much more than a cave. Our café serves everything from light bites to afternoon teas, with views across the Yorkshire Dales. Our crystal shop stocks a carefully curated range of minerals, gems, and fossils. And our ever-growing range of family activities, including geode cracking, gem panning, and interactive workshops, keeps guests of all ages coming back.
