Overview of the Role

Become a key part of the SES Placement Team in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, helping to deliver the essential DBS checking process for students preparing for placement. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team, where full training and support will be provided. The role is temporary and will run for 10 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out in-person document checks to support DBS applications
  • Managing and triaging emails in the DBS inbox
  • Keeping track of DBS status using Microsoft Lists
  • Providing friendly, helpful support to students—both face-to-face and via email

Requirements:

Essential

  • Strong customer service skills with confidence handling varied enquiries
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Flexible, and proactive approach to work.
  • Committed to supporting student success

Desirable

  • Experience in Higher Education
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR.

Location: University of Leeds campus

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Pay: University Grade 3 / £13.87 per hour
